Job Location - Fort Mill SC (Day One Onsite - Hybrid)

About The Role

  • Drive the business vision, value realization, and regulatory compliance for an AI enabled tax overlay and back office automation platform. Serve as the central point of accountability across tax SMEs, operations, technology, risk, and client stakeholders.
  • Lead end to end product development for the AI driven automation solution that supports centrally managed portfolio initiatives, ensuring seamless alignment between business objectives and technical execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and own the product vision, roadmap, and value KPIs for the AI driven tax overlay spanning direct tax, indirect tax, reporting, reconciliations, and filings.
  • Translate tax regulations, compliance mandates, and operating model requirements into a prioritized product backlog and actionable AI use cases.
  • Lead end to end use case development across data ingestion, classification, calculation, validation, exception handling, and reporting.
  • Partner closely with risk, compliance, and audit teams to ensure robust model governance, explainability, and regulatory defensibility.
  • Drive client workshops, discovery sessions, and design thinking activities to align AI capabilities with operational needs and pain points.
  • Own business acceptance criteria, UAT strategy, and overall readiness for deployment and go live.
  • Track value realization, including cost reduction, cycle time improvements, error minimization, and audit readiness.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the technical delivery team.
  • Define, prioritize, and manage product backlog items and user stories within JIRA.
  • Translate business requirements into clear, actionable functional specifications.
  • Manage project scope and ensure alignment with broader business objectives and strategic priorities.
  • Lead discovery workshops and requirements gathering sessions for high value intents.
  • Drive decision making, resolve blockers, and ensure momentum across cross functional teams.
  • Ensure delivered solutions meet business needs, quality expectations, and operational performance standards.
  • Coordinate with third party partners to align on integration requirements and ensure seamless interoperability.

Required Skills

  • 10+ years in tax operations, financial services operations, or regulatory technology, preferably in wealth management or portfolio management
  • Strong understanding of tax workflows
  • Strong understanding of optimization processes and related engines
  • Experience with agile methodologies and product ownership using JIRA and Confluence
  • Ability to engage confidently with clients, auditors, regulators, and senior stakeholders
  • Background in portfolio management or trading operations preferred
  • Experience delivering AI / automation / analytics platforms in regulated environments.
  • Understanding of AWS-based solution architecture

  • Knowledge of LLM platforms and capabilities
