Job Description

We are currently hiring a Data Entry Operator to manage and update information in our company databases and computer systems. The primary responsibilities of this role include collecting and inputting data into databases, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of crucial company information.

We are looking for an ideal candidate who possesses essential data entry skills, including fast and accurate typing, attention to detail, and proficiency in working with spreadsheets and online forms. The selected candidate will collaborate with a data team and report to a Data Manager. Previous experience as a Data Entry Clerk or in a similar position is advantageous. Ultimately, the successful Data Entry Operator will play a vital role in maintaining current, precise, and usable information in our systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately input customer and account data within specified timeframes.
  • Compile, verify, and prioritize information for computer entry, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct discrepancies when possible, and validate output.
  • Conduct research to gather additional information for incomplete documents.
  • Apply data program techniques and established procedures to facilitate efficient data entry.
  • Generate reports, store completed work in designated locations, and perform backup operations as necessary.
  • Scan documents and print files when required.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Respond promptly to information requests and access relevant files.
  • Adhere to data integrity and security policies.
  • Ensure the proper operation of office equipment and report any malfunctions.

 

Qualifications:

  • Excellent typing skills with a focus on speed and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills for efficient data management.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proven work experience in data entry, such as a Data Entry Operator or Office Clerk.
  • Experience using office equipment, including fax machines and scanners.
  • High school diploma required; additional computer training or certification is considered an asset.
